Psychological Treatment

Treatment typically involves a series of sessions where an individual’s difficulties are discussed and work is done toward creating change, possibly through learning new skills, improving relationship dynamics, or processing difficult emotions. Treatment is available for a variety of mental health issues, including:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Trauma

  • Grief

  • Addictions/Problem Gambling

  • Workplace Burnout

  • Men’s Issues

Sessions are 1 hour long and cost $225.

Direct billing is available to many extended health insurance providers (including Blue Cross).

Appointments are available in-person, as well as remotely via secure video-conference or telephone.

Mental Health Assessments

Assessments are a focused evaluation of an individual’s mental health symptoms, usually for the purpose of providing a mental health diagnosis. Assessments typically involve four parts:

  • A clinical interview where parts of your personal history will be discussed

  • Standardized psychological testing that will provide a more objective evaluation of your psychological symptoms and/or cognitive functioning

  • A written report that summarizes the important details of your history, describes the testing results, provides any appropriate diagnoses, and makes necessary recommendations

  • A feedback session where the report is provided and the outcomes of the assessment can be discussed with your psychologist

The initial appointment will be several hours and will include the interview and testing. The final appointment will be one hour and will include the feedback session. The initial appointment must be in-person, whereas the final appointment can be in person or via video-conference.
